Nasal Congetstion
There are air chambers in the nasal cavity, which are called sinuses. When the stimuli irritate tissues, the mucous membrane in the nose swells, filling the nasal cavity with mucus. This blockage results in nasal congestion and makes it difficult for the patient to breathe.
